BSC & Hood cleaning MAINTENANCE

Routine decontamination of BSCs is crucial to maintain its environment, as well as its longevity.  While most technicians will wipe the interior surfaces with 70% IPA prior to and post use, it is is important to regularly clean the BSCs with a disinfectant to kill any microorganisms that may be present.

While cleaning the interior work surface of BSCs is important, it is equally important to regularly clean and disinfect the drain pan and components under the work surface.  CCI can fully dissemble and disinfect the interior surfaces and all components on a regular cleaning maintenance schedule for all the BSCs in your facility.

The initial cleaning of new BSCs after installation is necessary to ensure a clean, decontaminated work space.  It also prevents any delays in certification.  New BSCs will often have a thin layer of carbon residue on all of its stainless steel surfaces left behind from the manufacturing process.  Additionally, there are often metal shavings, and other debris,  present in the drain pan area.  CCI can thoroughly clean all new BSCs to prepare them for final certification.
